Last Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Kearney Catholic Stars competed in the Seward Tournament. The boys team suffered a tough 6-1 defeat against Gross Catholic, with Kristian Marchese scoring their only goal. In their second match, the boys delivered a strong response, securing a convincing 5-1 victory over Holdrege with goals from Kristian Marchese, Breckon Malleck, Easton Malleck, and Tallen Watson.
On Tuesday, April 14, the boys hosted North Platte at KCHS and battled hard but fell in a tight 1-0 loss.
The girls team put on an impressive showing at the tournament, dominating with a 5-0 win against Concordia and a solid 3-0 victory over Seward. Yesterday, April 14, they continued their strong form by edging out North Platte 1-0 in a competitive match.
Next, the Stars will face “The Platte”, on Thursday, April 16th
