The track team competed in their second meet at Adams Central last week, with several boys finishing in the top ten. Isaac Chavez had a strong performance, placing 3rd in the 100-meter dash and 2nd in the 200-meter dash. Weston Salter finished 10th in the 3200-meter run, while Jaxon Graham placed 10th in the 300-meter hurdles.
The 4x400 relay team of Gavin Knajdl, Gavin Davis, Hudson Walvoord, and Isaac Chavez earned 4th place. In the 4x800 relay Weston Salter, Hudson Walvoord, Stanley Westerbeck, and Carson Riessland took 3rd place. Gavin Davis also had an impressive showing in the long jump taking 2nd place.
The girls also had several top ten finishes at the meet. Mackenzie McGee placed 8th in the 800-meter relay. Avery Cast had an outstanding performance, taking 1st in shot put and 5th in discus. Brynley Mattox earned 8th in the high jump, while Brynne Fisher placed 10th in the long jump.
