On Tuesday, April 8, 2026, the Kearney Catholic Stars faced Aurora in a soccer game. The boys team suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat, with their only goal scored by Kristian Marchese on an assist from Easton Malleck. Aurora found the net twice, both from penalty kicks.
The girls team delivered a dominant performance, cruising to a 7-0 victory over Aurora. They controlled the match from start to finish with strong attacking play, excellent teamwork, and a solid defense that kept a clean sheet. It was an impressive statement win for the girls.
Next matches for the Stars will be Thursday, April 9th against Roncalli (girls only), and Saturday, April 11th both boys and girls will play in the Seward tournament invite.
