Amherst Advisory Program

Did You Know? Amherst Advisory Program Builds Connections

At Amherst Public School, education goes beyond academics. Students in grades 7–12 participate in Advisory, a program designed to help build social-emotional skills, leadership, and positive relationships within the school community.

During advisory time, students participate in team-building activities, discussions, and leadership opportunities that help develop communication skills, teamwork, and school pride. Older students also serve as role models for younger classmates, helping create a supportive and welcoming environment.

The Advisory program helps strengthen connections between students and staff while building a sense of community, camaraderie, and school spirit at Amherst.
